Thriving In Recovery

THE SELF, INC. LIFE PROGRAM THE HANDBOOK

The Handbook is the written core of SELF, INC. — a faith-based recovery guide that treats your life like it has departments, because it does. Written by someone who didn't just study a breakdown. She survived one.

THE FRAMEWORK

Life Broken into Departments

A Body Department. A Mind Department. A Spirit Department. Each one running whether you're paying attention to it or not — and each one still reporting to you. The Handbook walks through all three, department by department, so nothing gets managed in isolation and nothing gets left to run itself.

Body

The rest, movement and physical toll a crisis takes on you.

Mind

Practical tools for the thoughts that won't quiet down.

Spirit

Faith as a source of strength, never a substitute for treatment.

The intention

It's not here to comfort you. It's here to help you

This isn't a book of platitudes. It's biblically-supported reflection paired with real accountability — written to hand the keys back to you. Because somewhere in a mental health crisis, it can start to feel like someone else is driving your life.

The Handbook's whole intention is to remind you: you're still the one who gets to guide it forward. Healing is possible, and you're capable of leading yourself there.

Thriving In Recovery Ministries was founded by someone who has walked this road personally - from crisis to calling. That lived experience shapes everything we do, because this ministry wasn't built from theory. It was built from having been there.
